PEVONIA PRODUCTS-THE STARS KNOW WHAT WORKS

Pevonia is a range of skin care products well known in high end spas and the entertainment community.  Their luxurious products can be purchased also online at www.pevonia.com.  We recently checked out the Caviar & Pearl line of five, the anti-aging creams and lotions. The philosophy at Pevonia since they started out in 1991 has been to utilize botanically sourced ingredients or extracts taking into account the preservation and integrity of the ingredients and final formulation.  The Ligne Myoxy Caviar which is the staple ingredient in this selection of lotions, is a rich cream that smooths wrinkles, resurface the skin texture and keeps the skin comfortably hydrated. At the top of the line is the Timeless Repair Cream ($171) that has the three key ingredients of Caviar Extract, Lemon Peel Oil and Pearl Powder. The Caviar repairs and smooths the look of fine lines and wrinkles thanks to the abundance of amino acids, and the lemon peel brightens and tones the skin. Finally the pearl powder improves elasticity while hydrating and repairing the skin.

The Timeless Balm Cleanser ($38) is used as a facial cleanser morning and evening, but instead of the pearl powder it includes Chamomile Extract, a natural irritant that calms and soothes the skin. The Timeless Repair Lotion ($33) features Hyaluronic Acid that is known to replenish Transepidermal Water Loss. Both products are quick and easy to use, removing the make up and grime on your face fast and leave the face cleansed and fresh.

The Hydrating Sunscreen ($40) at SPF30 is just perfect for the face, not too greasy like many others, thanks to the two key ingredients of Micronized Titanium Dioxide and Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E). The former blocks and reflects UV rays, and the latter nourishes the skin and protects cells and cell membranes.  Finally the Evolutive Eye Gel ($66) has high tech time-release spherulites with decongesting benefits for the sensitive area around the eyes. The three key ingredients are Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid and Ginkgo Biloba.  They have also recently introduced a line of vitamins that no doubt have been snapped up by the stars in their celebrity goodie bags, but joking aside these products really work. An essential addition to any woman’s beauty regimen.
