SHADY DAY SUN
SCREEN OFFERS NEW PRODUCT
By Michael
Hepworth
Shady Day Sun Screen products are a new company on
the market who launched a series of wipes last year into the crowded sun
screen market. The Montclair,
New Jersey-based company was started out by two working moms who teamed up with a
leading dermatologist to create the first product that offers SPF with
ease, avoiding messy spills and spillage.
Two years of extensive research have resulted in a product line
that has resulted in a lot of positive press in high end glossy magazines,
and presumably the sales increases each year. Shady Day even appeared at
the recent scaled down Golden Globe Awards event, where a list of minor
celebrities were seen eagerly clutching their Shady Day gift bags.
Despite all the glossy hype, Shady Day is a good
product, especially the new Shady Spray, which provides SPF30 protection,
vital in today’s environment. It
comes in a quick drying waterproof formula that has a cooling aloe base,
as well as being rich in antioxidants. It is also oil and paraben free,
non-comedogenic, as well as being bio-degradable, meaning in layman’s
terms, that it can be thrown into the sea without harming any marine life.
However, the most important selling tool for the Shady Spray is the
fact that when you spray it onto your face, it leaves an odorless sheen on
the skin, as well as not containing any anti-irritants. The Shady Spray
comes in a compact 4 ounce bottle costing $24, and it can also be used
with the Shady Day wipes and Sticks for additional sun protection.
What really is amazing is that about 1 million cases
of non-melanoma skin cancer are diagnosed in the USA
every year, and about 70% of American adults never use any form of sun
screen protection. Shady Day
can be found at various outlets such as Saks Fifth Avenue,
Ulta, Pure Beauty, Beauty First, Beauty Brands and Douglas Cosmetics.
